24. Have you ever contemplated the stars in a starry night? Awesome!
Everyone of us has thirst for God, and perhaps now more in our western society. But all along history man has shown that thirst for God. And it’s so simply because we have been created by him.
And we can get to know him through faith, which is a supernatural gift from him too, although faith demands you say yes to that gift, this is, that you humbly accept that faith: it’s a response by man.
Anyway, we can also reach God and about him through our reason, by our reason, for – as I said – we’ve been created by him.
And how can we reach God by using our thought? From Creation and from man himself. When I say man I also refer to woman, of course. From nature, our formidable world, the universe and heavens: I guess you’ve ever contemplated a diaphanous night, maybe in winter, where you can contemplate the sky and the stars. It’s just magnificent, and you just see it in an awe.
If you go to a beach early in the morning, when still no one seems to have trodden the marvelous sand, perhaps at some moment you can perceive some footprints on that sand – well someone must have walked this way.
Also through the universe – and now man is discovering more and more about the universe; just you can visit NASA’s website – we can honestly think, well, someone must have made all this and this sublime order.
Even more: through my reason I can find out about God as the origin and end of all, plus as the summit of goodness, truth, and beauty, maybe we could write those latter words in capital letters.
Faith, anyway, is like a light through a tunnel: you can discover like the third dimension, and not only two dimensions, as some people may live: all is confined to what I can perceive with my senses.
We may ask him, God, to give that faith to us. It’s a marvel: you can go through your daily life with the third dimension of faith, and then, only then, can you have supernatural life, and that life at every situation of any regular life of ours. Have a nice day and my best wishes of merry Christmas, and all the best for 2026.
