18. You may have had that feeling of plenitude after a movie

 As you have already seen, in this blog I write also about our father God, who has dad and mom’s love to us. To each one of us. 

And for me – and many people alike – his existence is almost evident, for we firmly believe in him and talk to him – and with him – at any moment. 

It’s so also when you think that he exists, because somebody must have made all this, this wonderful world, and each person. And the universe, which is unfolding itself on NASA’s last discoveries. 

Also because we may have seen John Ford’s The Searchers (1956) and there ensues the idea of one God, after each person’s thirst for plenitude and happiness, and family. 

When you admit his existence, even more, when you treat him personally, well, then, everything makes sense, and you may feel satisfied. As well life’s pains and sorrows have sense. 

Otherwise if we suppress God, as Paul Sartre did, then all ends up without meaning. 

Well, faith is a gift. A gift by him, but one everyone can reach. Just ask him. And search for him – he doesn’t conceal himself. 

And the consequences of this existence are manifold. I’m happy with all that and invite you to it. It’s my experience. And many people’s one. Have a nice day, fellow reader.

13. Where is happiness, is it far from here?

  What is a man, a woman? You are, I am what we do, what we think of, what we read, what we love. I am free so ultimately I am what I do.  And what I do in a repeated way constitutes a habit. And I can do good things, or otherwise evil things. I can build up virtues or otherwise vices. I can be an honest, hard-working, loving, attentive, generous, committed, friendly man, or otherwise all the contrary. Well, also I do good and bad things, as any person does.  You can find about this in old Aristotle, or in more modern Jutta Burggraf. A happy man or a happy woman are the ones that have virtues, that act in accordance with human dignity, and we are (let’s not forget it) sons and daughters of God.  And we can let God lead our boat, the one each person is. I can let God direct my life: I can count on him. #3. We Are What We Do. And on Reading Books

  I was thinking of basic things about ourselves.  We are what we do. And what we think of. Man is free. Ultimately free. And we are the habits we try to accomplish.  Also we are what we read. It seems essentially good to read good literature. Classics. The ones in accordance with human dignity, so most of classics. And good literature, as I said.  And we ought to dedicate some daily time to reflecting. Basically we should do things in accordance with human dignity. To reflecting I said. And don’t tell me you don’t have time. We have the same twenty-four hours a day as everybody else has. Ultimately.  Once somebody asked Saint John Paull II if he had free time. All my time is free, he answered. Also one cardinal told a reporter that that Pope was a very dangerous man. And that journalist asked why. And the cardinal replied, “He trusts God totally”.
